Wisdom of the Dragon

Bruce Lee was more then just a martial arts actor, he was a philosopher, a motivator and an independent thinker.

His teachings were meant to strengthen more then your body. They improved your mind, built self confidence and even opened your heart.

Below you will find some of my favorite philosophies from Bruce that I do think about almost daily to help me through many a decisions each day. The first, a teaching on adaptation is something I think about at least once a week, if not more and even more often when I was in college.

I recommend reading a book entitled, ‘Bruce Lee: Words of the Dragon‘ compiled by John Little. You can find it at your local library, Amazon[link], or any book store.

Thanks for your guidance Bruce.

  • Don’t get set into one form, adapt it and build your own, and let it grow, be like water. Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless — like water. Now you put water in a cup, it becomes the cup; You put water into a bottle it becomes the bottle; You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.
  • If one loves, one need not have an ideology of love.
  • Faith makes it possible to achieve that which man’s mind can conceive and believe.
  • As you thinks, so shall you become.
